2019 – 2024 LOCAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
The City’s 2019 - 2024 Local Hazard Mitigation Plan which was approved by FEMA in April pending formal adoption by the City was formally adopted by the City Council as an amendment to the General Plan on September 3, 2019. The Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) identifies hazards to the community, assesses the City's vulnerability to those hazards and identifies specific actions that can be taken to reduce the risks associated with each hazard. It also identifies projects that could potentially reduce risks in the community from these natural and man-made hazards. The City is required to adopt a LHMP every five (5) years under the Federal Disaster Mitigation Act.
