Emeryville has teamed up with other Bay Area cities and the San Francisco-based Business Council on Climate Change (BC3) to provide a solar group-purchasing (bulk buy) program for homeowners.

Called SunShares, the program will pool the buying power of individual participants to get more competitive pricing from solar companies, making going solar easier and more affordable than ever for residents. This year's SunShares program is available to participants throughout the Bay Area, offering homeowners the opportunity to receive a discounted price on the purchase or lease of solar for their homes as well as for electric vehicles. 

How SunShares works – Register by November 15^th  2018 to receive:

15% Discount Off Solar:  SunShares pools the group buying power of cities and businesses to get discounted pricing from solar companies and EV dealerships.

Pre-vetted Solar Providers: PetersenDean, SkyTech Solar and Solar Technolgies were selected to offer high quality, discounted solar installation. Sign a solar contract by December 31st, 2018 to move forward with solar installation.

Third Party Technical Advice and Education: Workshops and webinars are held to help residents/employees understand the basics of solar, electric vehicles, financing options, options as a renter and answer questions.
