Better Choices and Better Mobility
Reducing vehicle trips and expanding more active transportation options benefits all of us in reduced air pollution, more equitable access to transit, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and improvements in local business activity. Emeryville's residents and visitors deserve safe and comfortable transportation choices. For all these reasons, Emeryville is working to encourage safe and equitable micro-transportation systems. The City will continue to work to ensure safety, comfort and, equity for everyone using these forms of transportation.
Electric scooters are a fun way and sustainable to get around town or to BART without a car. Scooters must be ridden on the road and not the sidewalk, and have to be locked to a rack or other appropriate fixed object when parked. Riders must be 18+ and follow all rules of the road.
