Emeryville Center of Community Life Public Art

Emeryville Center of Community Life Public Art:

The Emeryville Center of Community Life (ECCL) is a groundbreaking partnership model for an experiment in “community schools”, a new way of bringing public resources to bear on the quality of life and quality of education in the community. For more information on ECCL see: http://www.emeryvillecenter.org/

Selected Works

In 2015, a selection panel of seven community members and artists was appointed by the City Council to select the installations for the new ECCL. These individuals whittled down the selection from 150 applicants to three finalists whose art resides in the ECCL today. In addition to these three pieces, the Bay Area Bullseye Resource Center collaborated with Emeryville community members to create a personalized map of the city in glass.
