Middle School Programs (6th-8th Grade)

Middle school is one of the most exciting times in a young person's life. It is filled with new experiences, life lessons, and self-exploration. At the City of Emeryville we provide a safe space for middle schoolers to be...middle schoolers! We encourage them to be themselves and have fun. What's New In Emeryville:

1) Middle School Summer Camp Registration is Open!

The City of Emeryville is gearing up for its summer season. Registration for residents opens at 9:00am on 4/20/22 and non-resident registration will open at 9:00am on 4/25/22. Our middle school camp works as a small cohort model and have specialized programing that is just for them. We are excited about our enrichments, aquatics, field trips, and middle school staff! 2) The City of Emeryville has been expanding our middle school programing this year, beginning with our partnership with our sports provider:Play for A Stray

During the summer months Play for A Stray will be conducting a sports camp for 11-14 year old's. Sports will include: flag football, volleyball, basketball, and baseball!

Continued Programing for Middle Schoolers:

  • The Expanded Learning Program for Anna Yates Middle Schoolers Our program is held in our Teen Center at the ECCL complex. On Monday's our students have the opportunity to tutor younger grades, attend an zero waste club on campus or take crochet class. Tuesday's and Thursdays students have an art class provided through Anna Yates in partnership with The People's Conservatory. On Wednesday's we visit the Oakland Library, and have a sewing class offering. on Friday's we have a gardening and a cooking class. Everyday we provide time to do homework, and have outside play. For only $30R/35NR a month, come and join the fun!
