The City of Emeryville is excited to announce that we will be providing a daytime program for Anna Yates Students and Emeryville Residents called The REC D.A.Y. Program (Distancing @ Anna Yates). This program will only be available to students in grades TK- 8th with parents/guardians who are currently authorized to work under the most recent Alameda County Health Department (ACPHD) order. The program will provide a space for students to participate in distance learning provided by their school in a safe environment. Activities will also be offered before and after school hours similar to last year’s After School Expanded Learning Program. We will be operating under the strict health and safety guidelines set forth by ACPHD, the State Health Department and CDC. Our top priority is to operate a program that is as safe as possible for your children. This program is subject to approval by the Alameda County Department of Public Health and the California Health Department. All dates, times, and pricing is subject to change.

Program Details:

Participants will be given the opportunity to engage in their schools distance learning program and be provided an academic free time where students can complete independent assignments and homework. Participants will also participate in enrichment activities that involve creativity, and physical activities. Activities will include: arts and crafts, outside games, theater and storytelling, math and literacy games, S.T.E.M., dance and movement, gardening, virtual field trips and more! Breakfast, lunch and a snack are included in the price of program.

Grades Served: TK-8th

Location: ECCL 4727 San Pablo Ave. Emeryville, CA 94608

Days: Monday through Friday

Times: 7:30am-5:30pm (only)

Dates: The program will be offered in 3 week sessions beginning August 20th (the first day of Emery School Instruction). Families MUST register and pay for a session before children can participate. ACPHD requires that: "Children shall not change from one group to another. The group should remain stable for at least three weeks." Because of this requirement and to ensure maximum safety of participating children, families will be required to pay for the entirety of the session they choose, regardless of days or weeks attended. This provides a "stable" group where participants and staff are not exposed to additional children who, in previous programs, would have replaced those who drop mid-session. Siblings or children living in the same household will also be grouped together, regardless of age difference, to minimize family exposure. All dates are subject to change. Once the school returns to in-person learning, we hope to offer an after-school program and/or a daytime program depending on how many days per week children will attend school. If the school district stays in distance learning, we plan to continue offering the D.A.Y. program until they return to in-person learning.

Fees: Will differ per session based on a $30 per day model. Some sessions will be more or less based on the number of days within each session. No deposit is required, all fees must be paid before the child can participate in the program and services are rendered. Please pay close attention to payment deadlines, late fee implementations and drop deadlines.
