[ARCHIVED] Storm Conditions (Friday Update)

The rain is back in Emeryville and will last through Monday. Here's some information on closures, hazards, and conditions throughout the City:

  • Marina Park and parking lot remains closed to address sidewalk and pathway safety concerns from fallen and uprooted trees.
  • There are no roadway or streetlight issues.
  • Crews continue to remove debris from storm drain inlets and parks.
  • Self-service sandbags are available outside of the municipal service yard (5890 Christie Ave). There is a limit of 7 bags per resident and sand is still available.

The National Weather Service expects rain and winds through Monday. A flood watch remains in effect from tonight through Monday afternoon. A small craft advisory is in effect until 3:00 p.m. Saturday.

This storm series is expected to last through Monday, with changing conditions. Stay prepared and use extra caution when out on pedestrian pathways or driving.

  • Monitor power outages via the PG&E outage center or call 1-800-743-5000 to report outages.
  • Check the news page https://www.ci.emeryville.ca.us/ on the City of Emeryville’s website for local updates.
  • Report blocked storm drains and downed trees to the Department of Public Works online at Emeryville, CA | SeeClickFix | Submit a request or call (510) 596-3700.
  • If you must drive, do so with caution and watch for flooded areas. When you see flooded areas, turn around don’t drown. Never drive through flood waters.
  • If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 9-1-1.
