Community Members are encouraged to attend and observe the public business meeting of the California Arts Council as they discuss current granting and program activities.  Members of the public are invited to speak during the Public Comment periods in the morning and mid-afternoon.

California for the Arts and the Alameda County Arts Commission will host a reception for the Council Members, CAC staff and the public after the business meeting.  Community Members are encouraged to attend this free event.  Light refreshments will be served.  All are welcome and no RSVP is required.  Local restaurateur and musician Doug Smith will be playing at the reception with his jazz ensemble.
