Surplus Food Inventory? The Food Bank Needs It.
With restaurants ordered to close or limited to delivery and take-out orders, many food service businesses have more inventory than they can use. Meanwhile, the Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB) is seeing an increased need in the community as many residents have lost their income. Please consider donating surplus food inventory from your business. It’s easy with ACCFB’s online food donation form.
Types of food accepted:
Meat, bread, produce, dairy, ready-to-eat items, dry and shelf-stable staples, canned proteins, healthy snacks, and some non-food items.
Not accepted:
Prepared food, such as trays of lasagna, rice, etc.
*Please note that donated food must be in sealed packages with labels that include ingredients and allergens.
