Discounts Available on Your Energy Bill

Did you know that low income households, and households with recently furloughed or laid-off workers, can get nearly 35% off on their electricity bill, and 20% off natural gas?

The City of Emeryville and East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), the local provider for clean power, want to help our community reduce electricity and natural gas utility bills by encouraging residents to enroll in the California Alternate Rates for Energy Program (also known as CARE). EBCE created a web page of helpful resources at ebce.org/CARE, including a 5-minute tutorial on how to enroll, and responses to frequently asked questions. The CARE Program is administered by PG&E but paid for by all customers in California and available to people served by EBCE.
