[ARCHIVED] Emeryville Commuters Please Note that AC Transit is Considering Elimination of Paper Transfers

AC Transit

AC Transit is considering elimination of the paper version of the BART-to-Bus paper discount transfer. Use of the paper transfer is very low and has declined in recent years, and it is believed this decline is largely a result of BART requiring the use of Clipper for all fare payment. All users of this fare media are both riders of AC Transit and BART. If this proposal is approved, the discount will still be available on Clipper, which is easily acquired at all BART stations.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the AC Transit Board of Directors will conduct a Public Hearing at its meeting on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. to receive public comment on this matter.  Due to the current Shelter-in-Place (SIP) order, the public hearing will be held through video conferencing.  Information concerning the hearing is detailed on AC Transit’s Public Meetings web page at www.actransit.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx, and is available in printed format by calling (510) 891-7175.
