[ARCHIVED] Emeryville Community: Statewide Flex Alert issued to Voluntarily Reduce Energy Consumption TODAY

Due to a combination of unseasonably high temperatures and sustained wind events, EBCE is reminding our communities and customers about the following:

1) CAISO has issued a Flex Alert and is again requesting voluntary energy conservation efforts from 3pm - 10pm today; and

2) PG&E has initiated a Public Safety Power Shut-off (PSPS) to mitigate fire danger within its service area. Please see the attached press release for more details.

  • For up-to-date info re the PSPS-affected areas, please refer to PG&E's online outages map
    • PG&E estimates more than 5,300 electricity customers in Alameda County will be affected. The outages are primarily expected to affect customers in the Montclair/Oakland Hills area east of Piedmont; Vasco Road in the Livermore area; and southeastern Fremont/unincorporated Alameda County near Calaveras Road. Again, please refer to PG&E's outages map for updates.
