How do I apply to one of the City’s Advisory Boards, Committees or Commissions?: Community members interested in serving one of the City’s advisory bodies should fill out and submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office. Information on the City’s various advisory bodies, including meeting times, current membership, and staff contact as well as a downloadable copy of the common application is available through the Advisory Committee webpage. (http://www.emeryville.org/index.aspx?nid=89) Applications are also available by contacting the City Clerk’s Office. (city_clerk@emeryville.org)

1. When are the next City elections?: The next Emeryville General Municipal Election is Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

2. Does the City notarize documents for the public?: No, the City does not provide this service to the public. There are several private notaries within the City.

3. When are City Council meetings?: Regular City Council meetings are on the first and third Tuesday of the month, starting at 7:15pm. With the exception of the first Tuesday in January and the month of August, winter, and summer break. Live video and rebroadcasts of City Council meetings as well as meeting agendas, including downloadable staff reports are available through the City’s Website. Videos and meeting agendas/staff reports of special City Council meetings, such as study sessions or extra meetings, are also on the City’s website.

4. Where can I get election/voter information?: Information on City and School District elections can be found on the Alameda County Registrar of Voters website: www.acgov.org/rov or through the League of Women Voters election website: www.smartvoter.org. The League of Women Voters website also has information on voter registration status and the locations of where to vote. If you are not registered to vote and are interested in registering, go to the Registrar of Voters website for a downloadable copy of the voter registration form or contact the City Clerk’s Office (city_clerk@emeryville.org) and a registration form will be sent to you.
